Be a Fish in a Peat Bog

For me, underwater photography is light, light, and light. Natural light! I know, you can’t work everywhere that way. For sure not deep down in the sea or in a lake. But in the upper reaches of a river, lake, or in this case, a peat bog, there is all the magic in this natural light. Down there, the light is like in a cathedral! The shadows of the trees on the shore, of some water lilies, the light patterns created by some riffles or waves on the surface - it’s just magic. And I love the idea to see the world down there as a fish would do it. Or a frog or a beaver or whatsoever. So a few days ago, tired of the office work, I went around noon to a nearby peat bog, to be a fish in this magic red world ;)
